Hungarian president appoints 41 state secretaries

Hungarian President Laszlo Solyom presented credentials to altogether 41 state secretaries in his Sandor Palace office on Wednesday, 2nd of June 2010.

The ceremony was held in two rounds during the day, with Justice and Public Administration Minister Tibor Navracsics, National Development Minister Tamas Fellegi, and National Resources Minister Miklos Rethelyi attending.

The second round of appointments included Attila Czene, Janos Halasz, Rozsa Hoffmann, Miklos Soltesz, Miklos Szocska and Geza Szocs to work at the National Resources Ministry as state secretaries and Andras Javor was appointed to the renewed post of administrative state secretary.

At the National Development Ministry, Janos Fonagy, Tibor Halasi, Sara Nemes Hegman, Agnes Molnar, Zsolt Nyitrai, Pal Volner and Mariann Vizkelety were appointed, the latter to the administrative state secretarial post.

Jozsef Angyan, Gyorgy Czervan, Zoltan Illes, Endre Kardevan, Zsolt V. Nemeth and Imre Farkas will serve at the Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry, Farkas as administrative state secretary.

Mihaly Varga, to be appointed state secretary at the Prime Minister's Office, will take up his post on Friday, as he is accompanying Prime Minister Viktor Orban on an official visit to Brussels. (Politics)
